Youth

At its June 2014 Convention, PSAC-Quebec adopted a resolution to create a network for young members. We are presently working at setting up an appropriate structure. If you are 35 and under, come and get involved in the Youth Committee in your region.

An EVOLVING STRUCTURE!

A Youth Committee can be set up in each of the PSAC-Quebec’s eight regions. To do this, at least three Components or directly chartered locals (DCL) must each send write to the PSAC requesting the creation of a Youth Committee. Components and DCLs signing those letters must be in the region specified in the request. Therefore, a Youth Committee could be set up in the following regions:

1- Estrie/Bois-Francs

2- Laval/Laurentians/Lanaudière/Abitibi-Témiscamingue (in the works)

3- Québec

5- Saguenay−Lac-Saint-Jean/Chibougamau/Chapais

6- Montérégie (in the works)

7- Montréal (in place)

8- Lower St. Lawrence/Gaspé Peninsula/Îles-de-la-Madeleine/North Shore

9- Mauricie

Note also that, since December 2015, Simon Richard has been representing young workers on the Quebec Concil.
