About PSAC-Quebec

PSAC-Quebec represents members of the Public Service Alliance of Canada in Quebec, except those in the Outaouais region who are represented by PSAC-NCR.

Founded in 1995, PSAC-Quebec has adopted political positions at its Regional Triennial Conventions. At 40,000 members strong, PSAC-Quebec plays a prominent role in the provincial political arena.

The Quebec Council - PSAC-Quebec’s executive - includes the Regional Executive Vice-President, her alternate and representatives from all eight regions of Quebec. It also brings together representatives for women, equity groups, youth, directly chartered locals and university sector locals.

We are proud to be representative and inclusive!

Some background

At its 1994 National Triennial Convention, the Public Service Alliance of Canada decided to regionalize its operations. PSAC-Quebec was born from this pilot project and its status was made official in May 1995 at the Founding Convention. It was mandated to represent Quebec members (outside the Outaouais region), promote networking and carry out political action. In 1997, PSAC established six other regions in Canada.

PSAC

The Public Service Alliance of Canada is one of the largest unions in the country. Most of its members are federal public service workers, but the union also represents workers in many other sectors including airports, universities and indigenous communities. PSAC is headquartered in Ottawa with 23 regional offices across Canada.
